Emotional Theory of Language at Stevenson

The research aims to study the efforts of philosophers of language in analyzing the language which used it by the philosopher, the scientist, and the common man, while clarifying its uses. Philosophers of logical positivism distinguished between its two main functions and believed that the descriptive function is the typical function worthy of philosophical research. Stevenson, one of the analytical philosophers of language, started from the language of everyday life, as he found in it the meanings it contains. He found some meanings in it, and these meanings are considered an accomplishment of an action simply by saying it, who referred to there are different uses of language, in addition to the descriptive language emphasized by some analytical and positivist philosophers. There is emotive language that includes all sentences such as commands, prohibitions, wishes, etc., and he considered it to be of great importance, because it constitutes the greatest part of the daily use of the language .
