Islamic theorization of criminal behavior from the perspective of motivation and reform

Abstract

The research aims to study the Islamic explanatory framework of criminal behavior in the light of Islamic constants, by extrapolating the Quran verses and their interpretations related to the subject to be studied and analyzed the reformist trends of crime, in an attempt to find a clear explanatory trend that reinforces the multiple scientific theorizing trends. Which relied mostly on biological, psychological, social sciences, and other positive sciences that represent the desire to explain the factors that motivate the individual to adopt a criminal behavior. The researcher relied on the descriptive-analytical method to explain criminal behavior in the light of Islamic theories.

The research concluded that the belief of the Islamic interpretation of the existence and continuity of criminal behavior within the community despite the harm it causes to the Islamic community. The human instinct is a sound instinct that hates criminal behavior, and the social factors surrounding the individual play a key role in enhancing psychological motives to push the individual towards crime.
