The article revolves around the concept of freedom - which is one of the concepts that in recent years has been widely discussed in scientific, intellectual and social circles - and the position of religion towards it and its limits. Verily, we came to the conclusion that man, in terms of the primary origin, is free in his various relationships, whether on a personal level, on a social level, or through his relationship with nature, and this is as a natural result of the principle of divine honor for man. Moreover, this freedom is determined by the rule of reason and Sharia, for the mind judges the ugliness of self-harm or degrading its value, as well as the infliction of harm on others. Therefore, everything that the reason judges to be bad, the religion equally prohibits it, because its violates the principle of human dignity. Conclusively, religion and reason call for freedom in a way that does not negate human dignity and the sublime value.
