Abstract

After the end of World War II, The Soviet Union was able to extend its influence in Eastern Europe, and support socialist organizations in it, to be loyal to it, and it was able to subjugate Hungary and make it its vasal, and harnessed its economic capabilities for its benefit, and imposed a government loyal to it, which led to the deterioration of the country's political and economic conditions, and the emergence of the opposition that produced the 1956 uprising, and the Soviet government faced it using methods of cruelty and violence, and the use of more military forces to Hungary .
