"يهدف البحث الحالي تعرف الضغط المدرك وعلاقته بالمساندة الاجتماعية لدى طلبة الدراسات جامعة واسط, وتمثلت العينة ب (227) طالب وطالبة, من مرحلة الدراسات العليا في كليات جامعة واسط, اختيروا بالأسلوب الطبقي العشوائي وعلى اساس التوزيع المتناسب, وتحقيقياً لأهداف البحث الحالي لقد تم بناء فقرات لمقياس الضغط المدرك والذي أكتمل بشكله النهائي من "20 " فقرة , وكذلك تم بناء فقرات المقياس الثاني لمتغير المساندة الاجتماعية والذي أيضاً تكون بشكله النهائي من "20" فقرة , وتم التحقق من الصدق والثبات الخاص لكل مقياس من متغيرات البحث الحالي وباستخدام ما يناسبه من الوسائل الإحصائية , وتوصل البحث إلى أن افراد عينة البحث لديهم ضغط مدرك وكذلك لديهم مساندة اجتماعية, ووجود علاقة ارتباطية عكسية بين الضغط المدرك والمساندة الاجتماعية, وهناك فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في العلاقة الارتباطية تبعاً للجنس لصالح الإناث فيما لا توجد فروق تبعاً للمرحلة الدراسية, وانتهى البحث الى جملة من التوصيات والمقترحات".
