Jiménez wrote poetry from the beginning of his youth and became known in the world of European poetry since the beginning of the twentieth century.

The poet wrote on several topics and adopted many innovative poetic schools that left an impact on his history. The Symbolism, which appeared at that time in France, was one of the schools that affected the poet, for this reason, Jiménez wrote many symbolic poems in his native language.
