تلعب الألوان دورًا مهمًا في التواصل بين الشعوب. فهي لاتعبر عن معاني فقط، بل تحمل أيضًا الخصائص الثقافية لتلك الامم. بمعنى آخر ، يمكن للألوان في اللغات والثقافات المختلفة أن تنقل معاني ترابطية مختلفة ، بحيث يتفاعل الأشخاص الذين ينتمون الى ثقافات مختلفة مع تلك الألوان بطرق مختلفة. الهدف من هذه الدراسة هو التحقق من ترجمة الاصطلاحات اللونية بين اللغتين العربية والإسبانية ، بالأخص, إلى أي مدى يمكن المحافظة على التعابير اللونية أو فقدانها أو تشويهها؟ بالإضافة إلى ذلك ، تهدف الدراسة إلى استكشاف الاستراتيجيات المختلفة المطبقة في الترجمة واكتشاف أوجه التشابه والاختلاف بين معانيها في اللغتين العربية والإسبانية. يركز البحث بشكل أساسي على الألوان الأكثر شيوعًا: الأسود والأبيض والأصفر والأحمر والأخضر والأزرق.
