Punishment in human life was not an emergency or something new. But it has accompanied man since his birth. With the existence of man on earth, he had a clear idea of two basic things in life:
First: A good deed is matched by (reward).
Second: The bad deed is matched by (punishment).
And that the principle of punishment is related to the life and survival of man, as the Holy Qur’an referred to in the Almighty’s saying (And there is life for you in retribution, O men of understanding) just as the Holy Qur’an referred to punishment, the Book of the Old Testament also referred to punishment, most of which are in three books: Exodus, Deuteronomy, and Leviticus. Most of them are related to the commandments of the Lord to Moses, and the provisions that the Lord commanded Moses to put before his people were mentioned in three chapters in the Book of Exodus. The purpose of punishments in the Noble Qur’an and the Old Testament book was to establish justice among people.
