A Problematic Study of Translation of Study Texts by Students of the Last stage in the Department of Persian Language and Literature in Iraq Case study: Literary and Legal Translation

Abstract

Translation is a university discipline that is taught in all universities around the world, especially in the faculties of humanities. The importance of this field of study is increasing, especially in the age of global communication. This course is taught in the faculties of literature and languages, and as an independent department in some universities. The field seeks to provide theoretical and practical training for students in the specialized field they are studying; Prepare and familiarize them with the requirements of specialized translation, so that they can eventually gain the required language proficiency. The main idea of studying translation is to achieve the correct transfer from one language to another, without which it is a wrong process and needs to be criticized, so it loses its scientific value. This course is divided into four types in the Department of Persian Language and Literature, Faculty of Languages, University of Baghdad, two of which are political translation and scientific translation in the third year, and literary translation and legal translation in the last (fourth) year.
