: summary
Both philosophers David Hume and Bertrand Russell deal with the concept of the causality in its many aspects, and this concept cannot be taken in isolation from the overall context of the philosophy of both philosophers. In the sense that there are basic principles that frame their philosophy, in general they are what led them to these conclusions about the concept of the causality
Hume, the extreme experimentalist, is not expected to accept a concept like the causality as a pre-experimental mental concept. The philosophical framework in which he moves cannot lead to such a result, and the same is true for Russell
This research attempts to deal with this problem
